About Anderson Well Drilling LLC
A Family Well Drilling Business Built on Decades of Experience
Anderson Well Drilling LLC is a family-owned well drilling company based in Marengo, Wisconsin, serving Ashland and communities throughout Northern Wisconsin.
While Anderson Well Drilling LLC entered a new chapter in 2024, the experience behind the company goes back decades. Bob Holly began working for Paul Anderson Well Drilling & Repair in 1988 at just 16 years old. Over the years, Bob built his career in the well drilling industry, gaining hands-on experience serving property owners throughout the area. Today, Bob brings approximately 38 years of well drilling and repair experience to Anderson Well Drilling LLC.
Continuing a Local Well Drilling Tradition
In 2024, Bob and Shelley Holly purchased the well drilling portion of the business from Paul Anderson, continuing the work and reputation that Paul Anderson Well Drilling & Repair had established in the community. For Bob and Shelley, purchasing the business wasn't simply about starting something new. It was an opportunity to continue a local well drilling tradition Bob had already been part of for decades.
Their goal is simple: continue providing the dependable customer service and quality well drilling that customers have come to expect.
The Next Generation
Well drilling has also become a second-generation career for the Holly family. Bob and Shelley's son, RJ Holly (Robert Holly Jr.), began working for Paul Anderson in 2012, also at the age of 16. RJ now brings approximately 14 years of well drilling and repair experience to the family business, working alongside his father and helping carry that knowledge and experience into the next generation.
Together, Bob and RJ bring more than 50 years of combined experience in well drilling and repair.
More Than a Business
For the Holly family, Northern Wisconsin isn't simply a service area. It's home.
Bob and Shelley have been married since September 16, 1995, and have two children and five grandchildren. When they're not working, family is an important part of their lives. Bob and RJ enjoy car racing, dirt track racing, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Shelley especially enjoys spending time with the family and grandkids and supporting everyone in the activities they love.
The family also believes in being involved in the community they serve. Bob and Shelley are active with the Sanborn Community Club and the Ashland County Fair.
Those local connections are part of what makes Anderson Well Drilling LLC a Northern Wisconsin business.
